Twenty-nine years ago, members of the Garden Club of Warren County realized the wonderful impact that new tree planting projects on public land had in communities across the state.
They were impressed by the way the plantings enlivened and beautified those towns and were determined to foster similar projects in Front Royal. These members and members from three other area garden clubs – the Garden Club of Front Royal, The South River Garden Club, and the Valley Garden club, along with public employees and interested citizens joined to form the Beautification of Front Royal Committee.
